Koushik Arunachalam is an Associate Vice President with Arcadis. He has over 14 years of experience in research and consultancy with a broad focus on Traffic and ITS Engineering. Mr. Arunachalam’s expertise includes freeway and arterial corridor studies, simulations, predictive safety analysis, intelligent transportation system (ITS) / advanced transportation management systems ATMS), signal timing and performing benefit to cost analysis for infrastructure investments. He is the Arcadis PM for multiple TxDOT projects that include TxDOT Houston Planning, TxDOT Houston Signal Timing, and TxDOT Statewide Traffic and ITS IDIQ.
Arcadis will present two projects that focus on their data-driven approach to improving safety: An urban freeway concept development project and a pedestrian improvement project.
