About: Dr. James Robertson, Ph.D., P.E., is a Traffic Engineer with the City of College Station. Dr. Robertson’s areas of expertise include transportation engineering, transportation planning, and human factors. He specifically enjoys solving problems related to the safety and operation of facilities that include people walking and people using bicycles. In his free time, Dr. Robertson enjoys mountain biking and off-road triathlons. He has completed 3 marathons, 1 Half Ironman, and many smaller events. Dr. Robertson currently serves as a panel member on two National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine research projects; and as an implementation team member for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Every Day Counts 4 (EDC-4) program. Dr. Robertson is a 2010 Eno Fellow, a 2012 Eisenhower Fellow, and a 2015 LeadershipITE Graduate. Dr. Robertson is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (2007 B.A. – Psychology), Michigan State University (2008 B.S. – Civil Engineering), and Texas A&M University (2011 M.S. and 2014 Ph.D. – Civil Engineering).
