Student Poster Session Guidelines
Poster sessions are a valuable opportunity for students to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. As provided by TRB, the goals in designing a poster should be:
- To attract attention.
- To provide a clear overview of your work.
- To provide enough material to explain the research without an oral explanation.
- To provide enough material to initiate discussion and questions without overwhelming the audience.
The Local Arrangements Committee will provide one (1) piece of foam board (40 inches x 60 inches) and two (2) easels for each student. If your poster is larger than 40 inches x 60 inches, please email Joel Fitts no later than Friday, April 7 with the size of your poster so that the LAC can make every effort to accommodate your poster.
TRB provides additional suggestions regarding Poster Design Guidelines.
Speaker Information
TexITE appreciates your willingness to present at our meeting. Without speakers volunteering to share knowledge and information, we wouldn't have a meeting.
Your session moderator will be contacting you for specific details regarding your session. In general, you should plan for a 15-minute presentation to be followed by 5 minutes of Q&A from the audience.
Please download the Permission Request Form and return it as instructed.
