Transportation Professional of the Year
The Transportation Professional of the Year Award is presented annually to recognize an individual member of TexITE for outstanding practice, teaching or research of the science and art of transportation. Nominees shall be a member of TexITE, have at least five years of professional experience, and have demonstrated unusual or continuing and outstanding contributions to the transportation profession in any of the areas of administration, professional practice, teaching or research. Nominations shall include the nomination form and a brief statement of support (1 to 2 pages). Additional support letters may be included. Nominations must be submitted electronically to the Texas District Awards Coordinator at
awards@texite.org by 11:59pm (CDT) on October 1, 2024.

Younger Member of the Year
The TexITE Younger Member of the Year Award is presented annually to recognize an individual young member of TexITE for leadership, commitment to excellence and activism within TexITE and other professional groups. This award is limited to those members of TexITE who are age 34 or younger as of January 1, 2024. Past recipients of this award are not eligible. Nominees shall have demonstrated unusual or continuing and outstanding contributions to TexITE and other professional groups through their leadership, commitment to excellence and activism. Nominations shall include the nomination form and a brief statement of support (200 words max) from a current or past supervisor. Additional support letters may be included. Three examples of the nominee’s specific project experience should be included (150 words max each). Nominations should be submitted electronically to the Texas District Awards Coordinator at
awards@texite.org by 11:59pm (CDT) on October 1, 2024.

Norman Hogue Roundabout Award
TexITE and the Roundabout Committee announces its call for project nominations for the Norman Hogue – Roundabout Project of the Year Award. This award is presented annually to a public agency whom sponsors the roundabout project nomination. This award is also presented in honor of Norman Hogue, who was an active TexITE member and co-founder of the TexITE Roundabout Committee. Nominations shall include the nomination form and must include the cover page (with agency contact and roundabout location information), the Design Information Form, and the required appendix information.

Outstanding Section Award
The Outstanding Section Award is presented annually to recognize a Section of TexITE for outstanding service to the members of the Section. Nominations must be submitted electronically to Brian A. Moen, P.E., Texas District Award Coordinator, at
awards@texite.org by midnight (CDT) on March 1, 2024. The requirements are the same as those defined in the ITE brochure.

The Student Paper Award is awarded annually for a significant paper prepared by a
student member of ITE. The winner of the TexITE Student Paper award will be submitted to ITE for consideration of the Daniel B Fambro Student Paper Award.
