Peterbilt Plant Tour

($30 per registrant)
Max Capacity = 20 people
9:30 am - 1:00 pm (3.5 hours)

Visit the Peterbilt Denton Plant and get a glimpse of the company’s past, present, and future. Since Peterbilt’s opening in August 1980, the Denton manufacturing plant has become the main facility for the brand. The tour includes a briefing of Peterbilt’s history, Peterbilt Experience area which has interactive displays, a 1939 truck, and historically significant trucks. This is followed by a guided walk through the assembly plant to observe how Peterbilt trucks are produced from start to finish. The tour itself will last about 1.5 hours. The remainder of the time will include an optional lunch with other tour participants, at your own expense.

Mobility Innovation Zone Tour

($40 per registrant – Lunch Included)
Max Capacity = 30 people
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm (4 hours)

Hillwood staff will host a lunch and learn to provide background information on the AllianceTexas project, which includes the Mobility Innovation Zone. Then a bus tour will allow participants to see various features of this area. Stops may include the Alliance Airport, Flight Test Center, BNSF Intermodal, and TuSimple. Bike Tour

($20 per registrant who brings own bike or $60 if renting a bike)
Max Capacity = 20 people
9:00 am - 12:30 pm (3.5 hours)

Nathan George, City of Denton’s Bicycle, Pedestrian, and ADA Coordinator will be guiding the group in a three to four-mile leisurely-paced bike ride throughout the City of Denton and highlighting popular cycling trails, iconic landmarks, construction projects, and much more. An optional lunch stop is planned to take place after the bike ride on the historic downtown square, at your own cost.

For those renting bikes, a shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the rental pick-up location. Those bringing their own bikes may ride from the hotel or drive their bikes to the starting point if desired, which will be about two to three miles east of the hotel. The shuttle may not be able to accommodate personal bikes. The shuttle service will be available to return to the hotel both before the optional lunch and afterwards. If the weather is not ideal for this tour, participants may be given alternate tour options based on availability.

HCM, HCS, & CORSIM Training

HCM & HCS Training
($50 per registrant)

Max Capacity = 100 people
8:00 am - 12:00 pm (4 hours)

McTrans staff will facilitate the HCM and HCS training and provide temporary software licenses. This workshop will be formatted for beginner users and instructors will be using the latest software version available. Refreshments will be provided. 1 hour will be dedicated to discuss updates made to the HCM 7th edition (2022) and 2.5 hours will include Highway Capacity Software training.

CORSIM Training
($50 per registrant)
Room: Palomino
Max Capacity = 70 people
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm (3.5 hours)

McTrans staff will facilitate the CORSIM simulation training and provide temporary software licenses. This workshop will be formatted for beginner users and instructors will be using the latest software version available. Refreshments will be provided.

Lunch will be provided for registrants that select both the HCM/HCS and CORSIM training workshops.

Professional Ethics Seminar

Kelly Dillard with Walter P Moore will host an ethics seminar that meets the requirements of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. Alex Garcia with Aguirre-Fields will be assisting as the session moderator. The seminar is free for all meeting registrants.
