Membership
The South Texas ITE Section is a sub-area of District 9 of the Texas District of ITE (a.k.a. TexITE). The section was formed in 1997 and includes 46 counties in the area that stretches from Del Rio to San Antonio to Victoria and south to the Rio Grande Valley (more land than some states!). There have been few opportunities in South Texas for people in the transportation industry to network with their peers, enhance technical skills or learn new methods of controlling and planning for traffic.
As a South Texas ITE Section member, you will receive notices of Section news and meetings. The Section meetings provide you the opportunity to:
* Network with persons outside your particular jurisdiction who have similar job and career interests and knowledge;
* Associate with a wide range of professionals; and
* Expand your job-related interests and knowledge of technical issues and discuss these issues in an open forum.
Members can vote on Section officers and by-laws, and participate in committee activities. The current Section by-laws are provided below.
